New Measures

Dear customers, we would like to assure you that the management and the entire team at Au Chalet en Bois Rond take the current crisis situation very seriously as you would expect.

New Measures - Covid-19

Temporary stay postponement policy - Covid-19

Dear customers, we would like to assure you that the management and the entire team at Au Chalet en Bois Rond take the current crisis situation very seriously as you would expect. We are a family business and the safety of all our employees and customers remains a high priority for us.

Plan for reopening

We have worked in the past few weeks to develop a plan for new working and hospitality methods throughout our company to ensure security for reopening: check-in process, increased cleaning of cottages, the Outdoor Center, our reception hall, our chapel and for all our infrastructure and equipment.

For those who have a stay in the coming weeks, you will receive an email a few days before your stay containing a checklist of the measures we have put in place and the procedures for your check-in. If government measures prevent you from enjoying your stay, contact us to postpone your stay. It is the best way to support Quebec businesses. If you want a full refund, we will offer it to you. It will be a great pleasure to welcome you when this crisis is over.

To all our customers:

  • You should not come to our village if you experience any symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have been in contact with an infected person in the past 14 days.
  • Upon arrival, you and those accompanying you may have to answer questions related to COVID-19. If any of you have symptoms of COVID-19, have been in contact with an infected person, or have traveled outside the country in the past 14 days, access could be refused.
  • In order to protect the health and safety of customers, important measures have been put in place and they are rigorously applied by our company.
  • You must comply with the measures in place at all times and in the event of non-compliance, employees will be authorized to intervene.
  • Certain services such as the chef in a chalet or events are not offered.
  • Detailed procedures have been established in the event that a client develops symptoms or is declared positive for COVID-19.
  • If you have any questions, you can contact the company's staff.

New measures are in place for reopening based on customer reception. Your cottage will be ready for 4:00 p.m. the day of your arrival. You can, therefore, present yourself from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. to complete your registration, sign the rental contract, and the compliance agreement, as well as collect the key to your cottage. Anyone entering the reception must wear a mask or face cover. A maximum of 7 customers at a time is allowed inside the reception. A hand disinfection station is located inside. You will be able to pay the balance of your cottage rental and your purchases at the boutique/convenience store by direct payment (Interac), in cash and by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). Contactless Paypass payment is offered at the boutique/convenience store.

Due to current government measures, day visitors are not allowed. We are obliged to authorize only guests staying in cottages in our village.

Our personnel has received strict instructions on new working methods in order to maximize safety. Our hygiene measures are extremely reinforced, for example by the increased cleaning of surfaces and objects frequently touched, such as:

  • door handles
  • switches
  • taps
  • telephones
  • remotes
  • dishes and cutlery
  • cottage keys
  • ramps
  • disinfection of all bedding in the laundry room, as we always have.

Many distributors of disinfectant gels are available in the common areas of the reception.

We have removed the following items from the cottages so that we can focus on the rest of your cottage's housekeeping:

  • decorative cushions
  • decorative throws
  • carpets
  • board games
  • various decorations
  • other items deemed non-essential

You can plan to bring if necessary:

  • warm blankets to enjoy your campfire
  • board games
  • life jackets
  • other items not included in the rental, see the rental contract

Our boutique and our convenience store will be accessible but with limited travel. We invite you to respect the signage inside the reception to facilitate service for all our customers.

We have reopened the Outdoor Center, and our hiking trails and the Lac des Loutres beach are accessible from June 1, 2020. Please respect the physical distance when practicing your activities. Anyone entering the Outdoor Center pavilion must wear a mask or face cover.
