Spring 2009
August 2009, several new constructions have been completed in the past year, on des Loutres, Castor, and Cerf Lakes. These new cottages are for the majority offered for rental, some with hot tub and pool table
We wish these new owners a cordial welcome and a year filled with great rentals.
We still have a few very nice building lots left with view of the water, on Castor and des Cerf Lakes.
We also have several cottages already built that are for sale, 2 on the river at 359 000$ and 495 000$ and 2 on Héron Lake at 199 000$ and 410 000$.
Presently the schedule for the production team at Maison d’Auvergne (log home structures) is going well and it is now possible to have your log structure delivered before spring, they have just delivered a log home structure on des Loutres Lake.
Our big news is that Au Chalet en bois rond owner, Michel Breton will soon be a Real Estate Agent specializing in Log Cottages and Homes, a natural progression of events due to the higher demand for resale on the site and elsewhere in Quebec.
Who better to quickly resell a log home property on our site, with his extensive expertise and experience in the domaine. He already meets with potential buyers, and now will also be able to negotiate mortgages with them.
We wish him great success and good luck in his new career.
Our restaurant Oie Sauvage operated by Daniel Mailhot (chef proprietor) celebrated its first anniversary the 8th of June and we can definitely say it has been a great success.
We invite business people to discover our small conference room which can accommodate groups of 10 to 20 people, this small meeting room is situated just beside our gift shop, downstairs from the restaurant and therefore we can offer all of our restaurant services as well. Of course, it is always possible to reserve for a larger group in our dining room.
Now is the time to reserve for your HOLIDAY parties.

The Oie Sauvage Restaurant has finally taken flight.
Brunch every Sunday from 9 :30 a.m.
Come and try our Steak House, Certified Angus Beef, evenings from 5 p.m.
Different shows, animated Denis côté, are offered in our brand new dinner theatre.

Situated in the center of our village, in a maple grove, you will find a spectacular new pavilion able to accommodate up to 60 people. 60 personnes.

Denis Côté, a well known in the artistic community, joined the team of Au Chalet en bois rond, to inagurate the Denis Côté Hall the 14th of June 2008.
Singer and storyteller beyond compare, for nearly 25 years, Côté has been filling halls throughout the province and at Festivals in America. Born in the county of Portneuf in 1950, the musician became well known in 1975 thanks to the show ‘À la Canadienne’ , animated by André Lejeune, where for three years, he made his accordion sing. It didn’t take long before he was noticed by experts in folklore, and was invited to participate in the opening show of the Olympic Games in 1976, representing Canada for the International games. He returned from Europe with the prestigious Grand Prix from the l’Académie Charles-Cros, an honour bestowed upon a chosen few quebecois, another being Gilles Villeneuve.
He also accompanied the virtuoso T-Jean Carignan before hosting the television show Monsieur Pointu, S’il-vous-plaît, and the well known Soirée Canadienne animated by Louis Bilodeau on TVA. Still very active in the world of traditional music, he has an active following of fans. His fans all agree. `If Denis is there, there is sure to be a party.’ In keeping with his reputation, he plays the Messervier ( an accordion with one row) and the Homer ( three rows) offering his public tunes which have earned him his much deserved reputation. Contemporary walse, from the masters of the accordion, Alfred Montmarquette and Gerald Lajoie, wonderful country tunes, popularized by Denis Champoux and Macel Martel, polkas, cajun, and the songs of our grandparents. In short, everything you need to get the party started.
All lovers of the accordion will enjoy Denis Cote, one of the great pillars of traditional quebecois music.

Loup-Cervier Lake is now completed, as well as des Loutres Lake
Loutres Lake comprises twenty beautiful wooden building lots with a view directly on the lake, already 18 are sold and 7 vue constructions are underway. These building lots have a minimum surface of 42 000 to 50 000 Sq. ft.
Castor Lake is presently under developement. The major structures will be completed by the spring of 2008. This lake will comprise 22 building lots, 7 of which are already sold.

The Maisons d’Auvergne have built 2 superb Scandinavian log cottages.
These 2 cottages, The Chinook and The Bic are 2 bedroom models, with kitchen and bath.
These two cottages are now offered for rental.
· They are situated in the lower St-Lawrence, and as with those on our site offer all the comfort you could ask for, in a superb environments where you will find many sport, cultural and gourmet activities.
